Description
Vikrti Vijnana II
by Kj. Nimai Nita das
The following sutras (aphorisms) constitute the continuation of our traditional exposition of pathology in Suddha Ayurveda, commenced in the previous issue.
The preceding 75 sutras presented the doctrine of vikrti vijnana (pathology) in Suddha Ayurveda, with specific reference to nidana pancaka (the five means of diagnosis); samavayi (inherent, inseparable, and material cause), asamavayi (non-inherent, separable cause), and nimitta karana (instrumental cause); prajnaparadha (volitional transgression of right conduct); asatmya indriyartha (unsuitable contact of sense organs with their objects); and parinama (external environmental changes). The following 62 sutras address nature and role of tridosa, and dhatu in disease, and the visitation of srotamsi (tissue systems).
