The menstrual cycle. I can think of few things more mysterious about the human body. Admittedly, because I am a man, but also because nothing else about us seems so acutely connected to greater cosmic forces. Across many cultures, the magic of creation is believed to reside in the blood women give forth in harmony with the moon. Early menstrual rites are thought to be the first expressions of human culture, and gave rise to the earliest calendars. In all cases the menstrual blood is considered sacred.
